scanline ??? that's amazing , first time i though u used third party renderers . I know a lil bit about fake GI by scanline , would u mind sharing some tutorials ? That would be great .

I never use tutorials, but I looked around for some scanline tutorials and found none, apparently all is replaced by mental ray renderer

You could've applied some AA to get rid of those sharp edges. And you didn't use radiosity, right? (I think max doesn't have radiosity, but correct me if I'm wrong)
